These potatoes are good for any occasion and can feed a very large group. We take them to covered dish dinners, all family get togethers and always have this at Thanksgiving and Easter.

Method
- Preheat oven to 350℉
- Grease a 9×13 casserole dish
- Melt 3/4 stick of butter and add onions. Saute a couple of minutes
- In a large bowl, add potatoes, pour melted butter and onions over potatoes. Add cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheese, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Pour into casserole dish.
- Place in preheated oven and cook for 30 minutes then remove and pour the cornflakes that have been mixed with the remaining butter over the casserole.
- Bake an additional 30 minutes
