I have 6 grandchildren.   As you all probably already know, children can be picky eaters. Most of them love fruit, noodle recipes and dessert, with a little fast food to be thrown in, but they all never agree on the same thing, except for this recipe.

You can make this for an after school treat, or feed a large group of them in just a short period of time. The thing that takes the longest is boiling the water for the noodles themselves.

Spaghetti is always a go to but I wanted to be a little different and still give them protein, so I threw together some things that I had in the pantry, and this is what happened.

Try it, I think you will like it!

Noni's Noodles

My grandchildren call me Noni. We are blessed beyond measure because all 6 of our grandchildren, 3 separate daughters blessed us, and they all live near us so we can see them quite often.  This is a favorite go to for the kids.

  • 1 pkg Italian Dressing Pkt (made into dressing) I like Good Seasons
  • 1 box Noodles I prefer larger Penne
  • 2-3 breasts chicken
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4-5 cherry tomatoes

  1. Boil water to cook noodles. Make the Italian dressing according to directions on package.  Cut up cherry tomatoes into fourths, chop onion and set aside.

Cut up chicken into bite sized pieces. Saute in pan until cooked through.

Remove chicken from pan, add 1 pat of butter and cook onions and garlic until onions are transparent. Add tomatoes, stir for about 1 minutes then pour entire bottle of Italian Dressing into pan.  Add chicken, stir until mixed together than turn off heat.

Drain noodles and put back into pot, pour chicken mixture over the top and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese.
